We believe in the "Two Winged Church:" large group worship and small
group relationships. All churches need both. Small groups meet throughout the week for encouragement, accountability,
prayer and discipleship.
Children's activities are also regularly planned. God has
led our church to be intergenerational in nature. Our kids like to be with the adults and we are happy to be with them!
Marstons Mills Methodist Church closed in 1967 and the building was subsequently sold to a dance studio. Rev. Philip
and Sheila Sherman purchased the property in 1980 and founded the new Marstons Mills Community Church. Rev. Robert Swanson became pastor in 1991. He is a graduate
of Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and for 34 years has served in campus and pastoral ministry, as well as teacher
and dean at Cameroon Baptist Theological Seminary. He can be reached at RobPriscilla@hotmail.com
We are affiliated with the Baptist General Conference, including Lakeside Christian Camp in Pittsfield,
Bethel College and Seminary in Minneapolis, and Bethel Seminary of the East in Auburn. Our international missionaries serve in Cameroon, Haiti, Bangladesh
and Guam.
